Tips for Stress Reduction

Keep life simple. Try not to complicate tasks and say “no” to any unnecessary demands on you.

Talk and share your concerns with someone who makes you feel good about yourself. If you can’t find a friend to talk to, seek out a professional counselor.

Write your thoughts down on paper so you can prioritize your concerns, removing anything you have no control over. Just writing down concerns can relieve stress.

Give yourself a little break every day; Read for 15 minutes in a favorite book, soak in the bath, work on a hobby, take a walk.

Consider getting involved with something that you feel strongly about, joining a group or organization that takes you away from personal problems.

Exercise

Eat healthy

Breath deeply

Don’t take your frustrations out on your family—try to find ways to support one another.
